Aaron Whigham started his career in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, and received his Master’s degree in Organization Development Change Management from Penn State University. With over 10 years of success as a business strategist, he has a keen focus on community and social services that sets him apart from his peers. Aaron worked at Penn State developing strategic initiatives that supported foundational skills such as in coaching, non-profit organizations, conflict resolution, team building, and more.
In 2020, he was recruited to Tulsa, OK, to lead several citywide change efforts, which ultimately led to the birth of New U. NU is a program designed to create diverse talent funnels by cultivating talent to imagine, discover, and actualize a 2.0 version of themselves. Going against the grain of traditionally-tried methods, NU is a culmination of Aaron’s personal and professional experiences where he’s able to transform his passion of serving the community into a purpose-driven program.
“This isn’t hard work for me–it’s heart work,” he said. “I know what it feels like to have hope stolen from you, to have momentum drained from you. And that’s why I do this work and facilitate it with so much passion because it really is going from my heart to theirs. It feels natural to help people in this way; to be a catalyst for change.”
